Nature inspires a majority of my artwork. Recently I had found this photo of some flowers that were so colorful that I wanted to try recreating them myself.
Taking the yellow and mixing in orange a little at a time helped me create a gradient of color for the flowers.
I have come to love outlining drawings with my black micron pen. It kind of makes it look like a coloring book picture when you outline it in black.
This drawing stretched my comfort level because I had to look at the photo and free draw what I saw.
