Sand Dunes in the Dark

Day 15 of my hundred days of painting landscapes had me painting the Sand Dunes that are taught in Kolbie Blume’s book Wildnerness Watercolor Landscapes.

This was a fun painting to paint, but I started to worry that I was not doing exactly what is taught in the book. Then I remembered that painting is supposed to be fun and let go. Yes, I would make some changes to the painting, but I did have fun painting these sand dunes.

One thing that I have learned from painting nature is that nature is not perfect. I have to let go of my need for everything to line up and have fun.

Have you had fun with creativity recently? If so, how did you have fun?
